About Us    its nearly Summer here in Bakewell! as soon as FLAG RACES are over it will be safe to come out of hibernation. Already we have lambs in the field and ducklings on the river! The bookshop is in the press . A nice article about Bakewell gives us a favourable mention anw we are featured in GRAHAM JONES 'S brilliant new book "LAST SHOP STANDING" ..WHATEVER HAPPENED TO RECORD SHOPS" its a great book and well worth a read . As we sell records and c/d's as well as books Graham interviewed me for a small section.

As ever we have some great stock, some special bargains and lots of good music.

we were sad to loose the lovely JOANY who has migrated to Edinburgh Castle for the summer. She has been a wonderful employee and we wish her well!

HAPPY READING...STEPHEN BOOTH and SIMON BECKETT both have new novels just published!!!

Enjoy the warmth of the sun ,people, and be nice to one another!
